ADR Glitch

Ok, I found another glitch in the ADR system. I'm checking into my package on August 8, but will be there on the 7th for my birthday. So I called Saturday (90 days from August 7) to book meals for my birthday. Once they took my hotel reservation number, it said I couldn't book ANY of my meals until the following day, even though the day I was booking was at the 90 day mark. I actually had to put those in my friend's name without a reservation number.

Interesting...

It's because your package actually starts on August 8th. The fact that you may be there one day early is irrelevant as far as booking is concerned. You can only do the 90 +10 days starting with your check in date (Aug. 8th). It's a pain, but that's the new system! YEAH!

According to the OP's post - she wasn't using the +10 on-site advantage. It was just 90 days out from the day she wanted to book. Once the system understood she had a reservation, it wouldn't let her book even though it was within the 90 days of the desired reservation date because it was more than 90 days until her reservation.

Any person could call up and make a 90 day out reservation - whether you have a on-site hotel reservation or not. But the system wouldn't allow it for this guest once her reservation was called up.

Ok. Got it. I went back and re-read it. You're right. OP should have been able to make at least a reservation for Aug. 7th today. I know the system was down several times today when I called to make a new resort reservation and to make some dining reservations. Perhaps it had something to do with that. :confused3

Oh man that stinks - I agree they have some kinks to work out.

Umm, I'm actually a "he", not a "she"...ha.

Yes, Sunday was the 90 days for August 8, but I called Saturday for August 7, which was 90 days as well. On the 8th, I could also make the rest of my ADRs on the +10 deal, but that shouldn't have had an impact on the 7th.

The lady actually asked me who the other name on the room was and she put it under his name. Since he didn't have a reservation, he was looked at as simply someone booking 90 days out and it let him.

Interesting little kinks...

Good news is I got everything without problem:

Le Cellier (twice during the trip)
Chefs de France
Coral Reef
Whispering Canyon
50s Prime Time
Crystal Palace Dinner
Cape May Breakfast
1900 Park Fare Dinner
Garden View Tea Room
