Does anyone know the time frame for making ADRs for T-Rex? I know someone mentioned you have to call the restaurant directly. Does anyone know how early they accept ADRs? Is it the same 90 day window as the other Disney restaurants? Also if anyone has the number handy I'd appreciate it!

NO reservations accepted just get in line!!! The inside is great DS and DH loved it!

They accept reservations by calling the restaurant directly. Because they aren't associated with Disney Dining in any way they are currently accepting them at 180 days out.

Anyone have a contact # for them? We are planning on eating there first thing before we get to check in- I would hate to miss it because reservations definitely were NOT announced- I have been checking for some time...
Thx for anyone who can help us out!

I just found the number and called. I was able to make a reservation for mid-May and could just name the time I wanted so that was great. Looking forward to trying it. I know it's new so I'm worried that it will be more crowded than other places in DTD, but since it's not on the DDP, hopefully that may help keep some people away!

By the way, the number to call the restaurant directly is 407-828-TREX.

Made a reservation a couple of days ago for a party of eight at the end of January. Had my pick of times. As others said, you have to call the restaurant directly.

I also made a reservation for 8 - at the end of April with no problems getting the time I wanted.

If anyone has eaten here, can you please give me your reviews? I am wondering is this is what was reviewed on Dis unplugged a while back. I believe the reviewer said it was expensive and the food not good (if I am remembering correctly).

We ate here in December. The food was OK (we stuck with sandwiches, nothing fancy) but it is expensive. But the atmosphere is so cool!!!

So they are taking 180 days out now??? So we can make them for June?

ETA: Yes you can! I just got one for DS's 6th bday!!! Thanks to PP who posted the phone number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it as loud as Rainforest Cafe while you're eating (the thunder storm in particular)?

I'm considering it for our DTD night, but the kids did not enjoy eating at the Rainforest Cafe, they do however enjoy the waiting area and gift shop. (There's one in the mall by us, and we have to pull them away.)

Thanks,
Heather

Yesterday, I was able to get a reservation for 8 people for next Saturday night (Jan 24) at the time I wanted. I think since they just started taking reservations last week, most people will have a good selection of times for awhile.

They take reservations now. I just called the the night and got a reservation for 2/17/09. Don't listen to anyone who says you have to stand in line call them and you can get one.

A couple days ago I too was able to pick any time for a reservation for 3 for Jan 24 but I had my doubts at first. The lady that answered seemed a bit confused about a reservation, she put me on hold twice and it started to sound like I might not get a reservation, finally she came back on the line and said sure you can pick whatever time you would like. I dont know if someone forgot to tell her they were now takin reservations or what the deal was but anyway looking forward to checking it out Saturday.

I called and made a reservation for January 27th and I had the same experience...they seemed a bit confused.

Woo hoo, just called a minute ago and made a reservation for this Sunday (our arrival day)! There's 4 of us, and I had my pick of 6:15 or 6:45 (said I was looking for something around 6:30).

The woman I spoke with was professional and polite and answered immediately when asked whether they were accepting ressies.

This is why I love the Disboards. I had thought T-Rex wouldn't be taking reservations by the time of my trip...glad to get this heads up! No waiting in line for us!

Just got back.

I had an ADR....got it 2 days after their system started taking reservations.

I asked the man at the check-in desk where to stand? He pointed to the line with 200 people in it. I asked if he had my reservation and he said "Yes" and then pointed again to the long long line. The man behind me also had a ADR and the guy in front of me was a walk-up. We had a fun time talking and I was lucky to meet two nice guys in line. Passed the time better.

The point is..... they are taking ADR's but they didn't have a system as of Jan 12th except to tell everyone to get in line.

The do have a seating capacity of 990 people. So it only took 20 minutes to seat 200 people in front of us.

Our table was a disaster so I told them to move us. We had a Triceratops roaring in my right ear, only 4 inches away. 5 minutes later they put us at a table in the middle of two main walkways and squeezed in-between 4 larger tables. I felt like I was seated in the middle of I-4 with the traffic party:

But we had a great view... so we stayed. I hate being just 2 people. ... the table was big enough for our drinks, bread plate and a cup of soup. "Skip" was a great server, who spent the rest of the night trying to put plates that were way too big for our table, on our table :lmao:

Food was average.... but we loved it! Lots of fun! And I can deal with start-up wrinkles. I'm just glad we went on a slow Monday night in January :)

I just called and made an ADR for March 8th for 5 and was told I could have any time I wanted. I was really surprised that the traditional dining hours were that open. I don't like the idea of having to wait in the walk-up line since I did get a reservation. Hopefully they will have that worked out by the time we arrive.
