ADR for MVMCP

I just made my very first ADR....ever. It's for LTT at the MK. The bad news....the earliest I could get was 5:40. Since I have never been to WDW I have no way of knowing if we (2 adults/1 child) will be able to get in and get out by 6:30. I'm thinking that would be a minor miracle. If we can't do it, should I cancel the ADR and eat at a resort at an earlier time of 4-4:30 or will we still be ok even if we get out a little later than 6:30 (but well before 7:00)? I would really like to eat at the park so we're already there when the festivities begin. Thanks!....Just a few more details....MVMCP on Tues. Nov. 28th with ADR at LTT @ 5:40pm for party of 3 (ME/DH/DD9)

i think you will be fine. you are already in the park, so when you finish eating just walk out and start the party you could always try and get there a little earlier in case of a cancelation. but we usually spend about an hour at a character meal, much more than that and the kids get bored and LOUD.
