Some restaurants I had luck with a party of 8 some I did not. Are some of the restaurants not able to seat larger parties because they dont have the right size tables (ie coral reef, Le Cellier) Does it pay to keep calling to see if something opens. I have been lucky in the past with a party of 4 but is it worth my time with a party of 8?

Coral Reef and LeCellier are very popular and many people make ressies at the 180day mark which leaves fewer spots for those that try to book closer to there departure time.

I did get ressies for 8 at Coral reef just recently for my aug trip but the time is 8:40pm.

We are also a part of 8, we have a Coral Reef at 7:50pm, trying to get it earlier but so far NO LUCK, we can get 2 tables of 4 if we want so I will keep trying.

Good luck

We have a party of 11 going in late September (free dining). Even though I called at 180 days out, I had to accept two tables of 6 seats at most restaurants (Crystal Palace, Whispering Canyon, Planet Hollywood and Le Cellier). Because of the car seating at Sc-Fi, I have three tables (6, 4 and 2 seats). I was assigned a single table at 1900 Park Fare, O'Hana and Hollywood & Vine.

I did get the times I wanted at every restaurant, so they were not packed when ADRs were made. The CM said there is a good chance we will sit together or even get placed at a larger table - but no guarantee. With 5 adults and 6 kids, we might prefer putting the kids at one end of the restaurant and the adults at the other :cheer2:

We will be a party of 9 for our trip in August. I called on our 180 day mark and had no problems getting all of the restaurants we wanted (including LeCellier)-even got the times we wanted. Keep calling back-people cancel and change their ADRs all the time, whether they are a party of 2, 4 or 10! Good luck and let us know how you make out!

We had a hard time seating a party of 9 at one table even with me calling on the first day we were eligible. We had to take 2 tables at CRT and LTT. On our last trip we were all able to sit at one table at CRT. We are also split at HDDR but I was told that is because they have no tables to seat 9. One CM even told me that we are not guaranteed to have the two tables anywhere near each other. That was a little sad, but maybe after that many days with my entire family I'll be ready for some time apart
