Is it typically a big deal to make an ADR for 3 guests, but then add on an extra person?

I'm guessing that most tables for 3 guests will accommodate 4 people.

Has anyone ever done this? Shown up with an extra person, from 3 to 4? Will they not allow the 4th guest to join us?

Thank you!

ETA: It's not one of those restaurants where strangers are seated together, like the Biergarten.

Yes, most likely the extra person will be turned away.

This happens more often than not. You are right that usually a party of 3 is sat at a 4 top table, however the restaurants can often be booked to capacity. If that is the case the extra person isn't allowed as they would be a fire hazzard. Disney is very strict with this policy.

There are a couple places that there is more a chance to get the extra person in. Usually unpopular places like Tony's, Garden Grill.

If you have a chance to add that person do so. It isn't a big deal if they don't show and you just go as a 3 party instead of 4.

I've read here before that some restaurants actually have 3-top tables. Maybe by a window or something? I'm not sure, but whenever you show up with an extra guest there is the very real possibility they may not be seated.

The best thing to do is try and adjust any ADRs to refect the extra person. If that doesn't work, then show up early and throw youself on the mercy of the CM at check in. You do need to be prepared to hear "No" though.

Good luck!

Thank you......I ended up canceling my ADR for 3 & I'll just keep trying for 4.

My first ADR for O'hana!!! :sad1: We got all of our other choices for this trip, so I'll just keep trying!

Is O'Hana the new "Le Cellier"?? I noticed a ton of Le Cellier reservations open, but no O'Hana for dinner before 7pm.

'Ohana is actually one of the restaurants where we have been seated more than once at a table for three. Another one that I know has tables for three is Boma.

Yes it does seem that Ohana is the new "LeCellier". :lmao: That ressie is a hot ticket.
