I have been trying to make a dinner ressie for 'Ohana for the last couple of days. I have not been successful. So I decided to call in and see if a CM could help me.

She couldn't find anything for 1 person. She tried several different ways including looking at each day to see if how my ressies there were. Still had no success.

Then all of a sudden a ressie came up on Sept 29th (my last day) for 5:05 for two people. I said book it. She said, but if the second person doesn't show up (there isn't one, I am travelling solo), that I would be charged the $10. I said I thought I saw somewhere that not all people have to show up to the ressie.

So my question is....if I show up just myself am I going to have to pay $10 for the 2nd non existent person?

Thanks:)

We only have a few reports from guests who showed up with a partial party, but they were not charged. Unfortunately that doesn't mean I can say with certainty that you won't be charged, just because someone else wasn't, and we don't have enough reports to say it's definite.

Take the booking. Call WDW-DINE back later, talk to someone else and say the second person can't make it. Ask to have that person removed from the reservation. Some of the phone agents may say they can't do it, but some will do it.

I don't know the answer but am interested in seeing what others have to say... The silly part is that they probably don't have a table for one.

My guess is because 'Ohana is so popular, they don't take ressies for one because they can easily fill the tables with two or more.

I didn't have problems making ressies for any other place for one. But 'Ohana is the only popular resturaunt ressie I wanted.

I got this from the FAQ on Dining:

I have a dinner reservation for 10 Guests at a restaurant that uses the credit card guarantee policy. Only 8 Guests are able to make it to dinner. Will I still be charged $10 each for the 2 Guests who were unable to attend?

No. As long as you honor the reservation, then there will be no charge to your credit card.

So I am hoping I won't be charged.
