adr for 10 people, adding 1 more person?

i have a late bloomer who wants to join us for brunch at 1900 park faire on christmas morning. i called wdw dine to add him and they said notpossible.

just curious, if he just shows up....will he be thrown some pity and added to our table of 10 or will he screw things up totally.

can you tell i am not so excited that he did this my most wonderful dining plans!

On Christmas day with every place fully booked and packed to the rafters, I would not count on the restaurant accommodating the extra person. The restaurants have maximum capacity limits that they must abide. Of course, you could get lucky and another party will not show which would mean room for your extra guest. I just would not go there expecting it to happen.

thank you. you put that very politely. may i forward what you wrote to my bil who is the late bloomer and thinks since its christmas, everyone will be made happy!? seriously, can you sense my frustration with him. i got up at 3am to make this reservation and he thinks he can just 'show up' when we go.

Tell him he "can just show up when we go", he just might not be able to sit at a table and eat.

Seriously, you should find video on YouTube that shows how crowded it is at WDW on christmas Day. It's totally nuts there, and will be wall-to-wall people at the MK for sure. Good luck.

I have a similar situation to you. My parents decided to come to our christmas trip with us. we have had ressies since 90 days out and they think they can just "show up" with us and they will be accomodated. I told them they were free to come, but don't count on getting a seat. And don't plan on us missing our meals we've had adr's for for the past 90 days just cause you decided last week it would be fun to go! We tried getting online and getting new ressies for all of us but every last one we have them for was booked. We refuse to give up our ressies! They are aware and "okay with" the prospect of being turned away to eat somewhere else.
