DH and I are upgrading to DxDDP before we leave for our trip in January :cool1: we decided that since it's free dining, and the upgrade isn't terribly expensive, plus this is our "last trip for a while" trip, why not go out with a bang, right?

Can I please have your feedback on the ADRs below? I swear I've changed them 5-6 times already now. I feel like we have them pretty well spaced out, but you just never know sometimes.

Jan. 23 (MK day)
Lunch, Gasparilla Grill (it's a tradition)
Dinner, Narcoossee’s, 8:30PM (anniversary dinner)

Jan. 24 (ANIMAL KINGDOM – AM EMH)
Breakfast, Tusker House, 9:30AM
Lunch, Flame Tree BBQ (share)
Dinner, Yachtsmans Steakhouse, 8:15PM

Jan. 25 (EPCOT – AM EMH)
Breakfast, in room and/or snacks at Epcot
Lunch, Rose & Crown, 1:05PM (make Rose & Crown earlier?)
Dinner, Chef Mickey’s, 8:40PM (tradition)

Jan. 26 (HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS)
Breakfast, Cape May Café, 10:15AM
Snack credits at Hollywood Studios
Dinner, 50’s Prime Time, 6:45PM

Jan. 27 (MAGIC KINGDOM – AM EMH)
Breakfast, 1900 Park Fare, 10:45AM
Lunch, Cosmic Rays (share)
Dinner, California Grill, 7:45PM

Jan. 28 (EPCOT – PM EMH)
Breakfast, snacks at Epcot
Lunch, Kona Café, 12:05PM
Dinner - sharing CS from Epcot and drinking around the world!!
England, Yorkshire County Fish & Chips
Mexico – La Cantina de San Angel
China - Lotus Blossom Cafe

Saturday, Jan. 29 (HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS – AM EMH)
Breakfast, snacks @ Rix
Lunch, Gasparilla Grill take out (tradition since 2009)

Thanks so much for your input! I may actually be 1-2 credits under, but I figure we can share a CS breakfast on our last day at Pepper Market, or add another mini-snack/dinner at Epcot as we drink around the world.

I always love to see the combinations people come up wth for their ADRs. Of course, it also makes me second guess some of mine!

Two comments...
--Rose & Crown wouldn't have been my first pick for lunch in EP. But, that's just my opinion. There are so many good options for lunch in EP.

--Since it looks like you will have extra TS points, why not go to Brown Derby for dinner in HS instead of 50's PT? Definitely better food, IMO.

We always do DxDDP and often use snack credits for Breakfast, too. It seems like Breakfast is pretty much the same at most restaurnts, so we can not feel so rushed to get to an ADR in the morning and it's a great way to be able to enjoy more signature restaurants for dinner.

Congrats on the decision to updgrade to the DxDP! I did the same thing for my upcoming Disney trip. I love appetizers and desserts so this was an easy upgrade to justify to myself!

Personally, I wouldn't waste a single meal credit on Counter Service. There are many restaurants you and DH could likely split an appetizer, entree and dessert rather than splitting a counter service meal. There are fantastic CS options all over the world, but I would still not pay basically the same price for counter service as I would to eat at Kona Grill, The Wave, etc.... just my thoughts on the matter :cool1:

One other strategy I used on my ADR's was to get lots of 2TS meals in....places I would never pay OOP for. I really only planned two meals per day and I am planning a full day on checkout day. I suspect on the days you have 3 meals planned you will end up skipping Lunch or DInner and lose even more credits :(. You have Narcoosies....what about Flying Fish, Yachtsmen?? Or even a Dinnershow? (which is nice because it includes gratuity and beer/wine)

Thanks so much for both your input, I really appreciate it.

I think we're going to take your advice and add one more signature dining place. We already have Narcoossee's (1/23) Yachtsman (1/24), and California Grill (1/27), I think we'll add Flying Fish in for our last night on 1/28.

I keep forgetting just how many snacks we have with the DxDDP and that we can easily use those for a "snack around the world showcase"' rather than wasting a TS credit on a CS. We have to keep Gasparilla Grill though, it's our tradition, and we love, love love the Southwest Chicken Sandwich.

Thanks again!
Jen

Another 2 TS one you might want to think about adding is Artist Point. It is truly a great restaurant!
