We are now at the 180 day mark which means we can start booking some ADR's!

Firstly, what time do the ADR's release per day? (As we are waiting for 10th Nov to start so we can book an early Crystal Palace breakfast and I wanna go to bed! Lol)

Secondly, we have booked an 8pm sitting at Chef Mickey's on Sunday 9th November (our first evening there) how good is it there? I am right in saying it has characters there, am I?

Cheers guys
Matt

Hi Matt

If tomorrow is your date for ADR's then go to bed and get a decent sleep. Your window will come 'live' online at 6 am EST (11 am UK time) or if you want to phone it's an hour later (7 am EST/12 noon UK time).

Make sure that you are logged into your MDE account, not just into the website page. You can check this by clicking on your MDE link at the top right of your page.

Make sure you have a credit card of sorts added to your account under the Personal Profile section in MDE. You have to have that to be able to make ADR's.

If you are enthusiastic and sign in more than 10 minutes beforehand, make sure you are active within the MDE account or it logs you out of MDE but still leaves you signed into the web page (confusing, but it does that).

If you run into any trouble making reservations online, keep calm, have your list handy and phone at noon.

Yes, Chef Mickey has characters. It is an all you can eat buffet. What time does your flight land? Make sure you leave plenty of time to get to the resort, check in and then get to the Contemporary. I'd leave at least 4 clear hours in case of delays. You will be charged $10 per person for a no show.

Hope that helps :goodvibes

Hi 2tiggles, thanks for the quick reply

We land at 3.40pm so I'm hoping we'll be there in time for the 8pm reservation!

In regards to our ADR, we can book for the 9th, but no other day. Am I right in saying we will need to check back every day?

Are you staying offsite? If you are, then yes, you just book each day, one at a time. If you are staying at a Disney hotel however, you can book the first 10 days tomorrow and then continue for the rest on a rolling, day by day basis.

You should be fine with your 3 pm landing time. It gives you plenty time. If your flight is delayed or anything happens and your card is charged, go to Guest Services and speak to them about reversing the charge. Hopefully that won't be necessary :)

No, we are staying onsite (All Star Music Resort) do you think it's worth ringing and finding out?

No need. Once your window opens, your other days will open up in the calendar. It's because you're not in your window officially just yet (according to the time zone etc) that you are only seeing the one day. It will change pretty much bang on 11 am UK time. If it isn't showing, hit refresh and make sure you haven't been logged out. All the best and let us know how it goes pixiedust:

ETA: If you are wanting Be Our Guest, do that first then go back and fill in the other dates. That one disappears in minutes.

Lee has pretty much answered your ADR queries - I will just add that to get my extended plus 10 window to open I had to follow the link to make dining reservations from within MDE.

I would also advise you rethink your chef Mickeys ADR. You have booked it for 8pm which your bodies will think is 1am. We never manage much more than a sandwich on arrival and I don't the ages of your children but I guessing they will be falling asleep at the dinner table. You also have to get from All Stars to Contemporary which if you are using Disney transport will take at least 45 minutes to hour depending on how long you wait for a bus.

Book it for another day when you can enjoy the experience :goodvibes

i agree about the arrival night ADR - we're usually so exhausted, we end up eating a counter service meal and that's it.

but maybe you'll be up for it, i don't know how you are at traveling.

as for chef mickeys - we've only eaten dinner there and enjoyed it every time.
the last time we were there was two years ago (when all 6 of us ate there) - since two of us are vegetarians, the chef came out to show us around the buffet and tell us what we could eat (plus he offered to make us something special if we liked).

He was really really nice and VERY proud of the food quality - he said they make everything fresh there. The food that we had was indeed very nice.

And our waiter was also nice. All in all, a lovely experience.

and of course, you can't beat the characters there, Mickey and his pals!

oh...and i forgot about the celebration thing - when everyone waves their napkin around....i loved that...silly i know!! but i loved it...

Hi Matt, I agree with the other guys on here. Any meal other than a quick service at your hotel will be a waste on your arrival night. You never realise how tired you are going to be!

My kids wanted to spend our arrival night at disney quest but they were so tired and ratty we shared 2 adult meals at the port orleans when we arrived at 7pm and struggled with that!

the day we arrive, we end up driving over to DTD for a sandwich at earl of sandwich....
my family is addicted to them and dream about it all year long...
if you want to see them drool, just say 'earl of sandwich'.....
talk about a pavlovian reaction... ;)

We were going to do Chef Mickey first night but decided we'd be too tired. We booked breakfast there for our first morning instead.

It was a fantastic start to the holiday and one of the highlights of the whole trip. I still salivate at the thought of the french toast!

We were lucky enough to get a table with a view of the castle which made it extra special.

Mmm, may have to rethink what we're doing!

My wife and I are going alone, so kids are not an issue, however, eating at "1am" may be! Thanks for the ADR advice so far, glad I checked at 11am as we've managed to get a 8.30am sitting at the Crystal palace (which will be our first proper day) so I'm well chuffed with that! We are trying to book Cinderella's Royal Table on the 17th for an anniversary dinner but it says I need to ring

Anyone else find this?

It says you have to ring when it's fully booked. Keep looking. I got a CRT booking two weeks ago and I leave in one week. I had been checking daily for 10 weeks. Kept getting the need to call text on screen until there was an opening. Know it takes your money for the whole price of the booking when you book unless you are linked to a dining plan. I saw it on my credit card statement today!!!!!!
