ADR Cancellations

DH, DS and I are going to the World in Sept and having trouble getting ADR's for a couple places due to the free dining. Last year before our trip I had found a thread where people posted ADR's that they had just canceled or had planned to cancel shortly so others could call and try to get them. I can't find it this time. Can anyone help me?!!

Yesterday evening, I cancelled Boma at 5:20 on Sept 26 for 4, and Les Chefs at 5:00 on Sept 28th for 4.

It's nice of folks to give you a heads-up, but the chances of such notice actually helping you are probably nil.

Don't forget, for you to get an ADR, it has to be available in the computer at the precise moment your CM looks for it. For every cancellation you see here, there are hundreds you don't see. Disney Dining gets hundreds, if not thousands, of calls an hour and the likelihood of you benefiting from a specific cancellation is next to zero.

Your best bet is to spend your time on the phone, not on the DIS -- call several times a day. You might also start making "back-up" ADR's in case your real preferences don't come through.

I really wish this would work! We're going Aug. 26-Sept.3 and want to go to Chef Mickey's! The only reservations left are 8pm or later. We have four children 7yrs. and younger and don't want to wait that late for them to eat. They would be monsters!!!!

Okay, I did bump my thread but it is on the Restaurant Forum -- not the DDP Subforum. There are a few others there as well...so be sure and check for cancellation threads on that board as well.

I wanted LeCellier adr for 5 for the week of sept 16-,none to be found not even for lunch. My kids are disappointed. but i will keep calling.

Today I called and they had lunch ressies available for 9/16.

you might try for Chef Mickey's for lunch. Also, consider calling a day or two before final payment is due. For 8/26 arrivals it is 7/12. There might be some who booked early for free DDP and then wind up canceling their trip before penalties kick in.
