well we can book our meals tomorrow. I'm hoping I have everything sorted and ready. I presume I can only book for day days worth so the other 4 days i will have to book online after

Ohh good luck - hope you get everything you are after. Where are you planning on booking?

No hun, you can book the first 10 days if you have your US reservation number, which you need to plug in where requested on the dining reservation website tomorrow. You are staying at a Disney hotel from what I can see, so you should be able to book for the first 10 days.

Where are you eating?

i'm going to ring i think as its probably easier as i would like to book castle lunch for one and BBB before it. we are mainly planning on buffet and character meals so they should be easier to get i hope

The only buffet meal that tends to go really quickly is Chef Mickey, so try for that first (once you have booked CRT):goodvibes

I think Chef Mickey may be harder to get than CRT. But if you call first thing when the lines open you should be fine with both. Let us know. :)

i got everything i wanted for pretty much exact times 2 or 3 i had to ajust by half an hour or 15 mins. chef mickeys was 15 mins difference and exact time on CRT i was pretty suprised i'm hoping thats a good sign.
got to ring back for last 2 days (i somehow got 11 days worth) and for fantasmic package as it wasn't on computer. got BBB booked as well for my little girl. cm reminded me of why we love disney she was wonderful and very very polite and helpful as my kids were being as noisy as possible and finished by saying "have a magical day"

Glad you got all you wanted! :thumbsup2

Online ADRs are much easier I think - but one thing you do get on the phone is that one on one interaction with a friendly CM :goodvibes

I've just been reading some of your trip report 2 tiggies as i saw u stayed at POFQ. Really pleased you loved it. we were going to stay at riverside but it looked like it was too big so opted for FQ

Loved it! As you can see, we're going back again. And you're going in spring. It's so pretty - especially Epcot!

we were going to do October but DD starts school in the September so wouldn't be fair on her. We got a better price for May and free dining so we opted for that plus i want to see flower and garden festival even if nobody else in my family will be that interested. first time as a family of 4. a 4 year old and a 1 year old on a 9 hour flight. we must be crazy

I have no knowledge or interest in gardening. But this will appeal to everyone. They have character topiaries, a walk through butterfly garden, a fairy garden area, spring creative activities for the kids .... the list is endless.

As for the flights, make your own little activity packs for the kids and hand things out one by one during the flight to keep their interest peaked. They will sleep a bit. I have lost count of how many longhaul flights I have done on my own with DD, the first when she was a month old and many 12 hour flights too. Honestly, it was easier when she was little. Take lots of little snacks for them too.

Coming home is easier because being a night time flight, they eventually do fall asleep anyway, even if you don't.

Just come back with my 4 yr old.

Mine loved BBB and the hair style stayed in for 4 days!

Plastacine (sp?) was a big hit with my DD on the plane - one of those little 99p packets with about 10 different coloured strips in - passed alot of time.

lol u don't know my daughter :rotfl::rotfl:
we took her when she was just 2 with loads of activities and dvd player.half of which she didn't do at all. the idea was early car journey 4ish i think were we would put her in car last minute so she could sleep 2 hour trip to airport. didn't quite work as she woke up straight away and stayed awake all the way. she never slept on plane at all she was on a high but did play with some cheap plastic animals for ages and polly pockets. journey back was the worst think everyone on the plane was asleep apart from us. she had half an hours sleep all night and that was it and she kept awake till next night at home too. not sure how she does it to be honest. i'm less worried about my DS as he usually sleeps the second he gets in a car. i think i'm gonna take lots of stickers for DD as she will usually do them for ages she's 4 now so she may be better this time

Colouring in book - a smallish or not very thick one
Those sticker albums where you can create a scene with the stickers and keep reusing them.
Pipe cleaners
A kids magazine that comes with stickers, colouring in pages, story, etc.

i have got BBB booked a few hours before CRT i think my daughter will love it. I like the plasticine idea that could work for a while and its better for us to play with them with its so hard playing with animals talking together when on a plane with lots of people about they may think we are nuts.
