We're heading out to WDW on September 27th for our honeymoon and even though it's 7 months away...I just keep thinking about! :yay:

We've already planned what we want to do each day and where we want to eat. We're on the DDP.

I would really appreciate your advice on booking the restaurants once we hit the 180 day mark.

Is it best to book online or over the phone?

From people's experiences, is it fairly stress free or do you find you have to rearrange your plans because the restaurant is fully booked?

Thanks in advance!

Online opens at 6am eastern time, the phone line opens at 7am eastern time, so it is better to try online since you get an hour head start.

At 180 days, you should be good getting your first choices, with maybe the exception of BOG, which is very hard to get. If you want BOG you should be online at 6, make your BOG first, and make it for a day late in your trip (assuming you are onsite and can take advantage of 180+10).

I pick my park days first and then pick restaurants. It is very rare that I would change parks based on ADR availability.

I'd agree that online is better since you get a one hour advantage. I made mine a few weeks ago online right at 6am. You'll get an error message until the system opens for the day and then - whenever the Disney clock says 6am - it starts working. I got all six ADRs I wanted at the times I wanted except we got a half hour later at BOG - which is not a huge deal to me. It was pretty easy. Just make sure you have your credit card linked to your MDE account before you go online to make your ressies - otherwise that will slow you down that morning. :)
