ADR before park open?

Hi folks! I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything in the search.

I have reservations for Crystal Palace at 8:00 am the morning of my 21st birthday on June 30th (woo!), but right now it lists park open at 9. Is the ADR really an hour before park opens, or are they going to post extended park hours later on in the year? It's still a valid ADR even though it's an hour before park opens? My birthday is the height of peak season so I'm surprised that MK doesn't open until 9.

Also, will the characters still be around or no because it's before park opening?

The in park restaurants with character breakfasts start at 8:05 everyday regardless of the time the park opens. It's possible they may change the hours and open earlier, but that would mean you won't have the quiet, uncrowded park to enjoy.

The characters will be there from the time the restaurant opens, so you'll definitely see them.
