We have an ADR for breakfast at CRT during or trip (8 more sleeps!!). We've never booked an ADR before park opening, how does that work and how will we be allowed to enter?

I also heard it's a great opportunity for photos with a nearly empty park!!! :)

Oh and our ADR is at 8:40am, park opens at 9:00. How early will they let us in?

You should be able to enter as soon as they start letting people in for ADRs (not sure how early that is). Yes, the park will be empty-ish and it is a great opp for pictures but you won't be able to go past the castle (still should make for great pics).

On edit, when you get to the entrance there will be an area for those with morning ADRs. They will check you off and let you enter. You might want to bring proof of your reservation (a print out) - I've heard of folks having trouble getting in, though I've never had any.

1) You are allowed into the park approx 15-20 minutes prior to your ADR. *
2) You may proceed DIRECTLY to the eatery.
3) You may not wonder into other areas of the park or "lands"

* The exception being Tusker House. You may enter as early as 7:45am if
your ADR is prior to 9:20am (or 10:00am if you are Japanese.)

How do they know or check if you have an ADR to let you enter? Hope we have enough time before the reservation to get the pics! :)

They are no longer checking Guests for ADRs at Magic Kingdom-Guests are on the "Honor System".:)

The ADR Guests currently go to the "far left" to enter.:)

So which is it, 15 or 20 mins? Last time we had a reservation for an MK breakfast at Crystal Palace (not good food) we were let in at least 30 mins before because we sat and waited a long time. I've not seen any restriction on when you can enter but have only had a couple of pre-park opening meals. And you certainly are able to take pics before going to the meal.

The only park where I have been asked for my dining reservation for a pre-park opening breakfast has been at Animal Kingdom and I have never been asked at the Magic Kingdom :rolleyes1

OK, I know RustyScupper you are expecting the question, and I know you meant it as a joke. Why the time difference for the Japanese? Is that an inside joke or a reference to another thread?
