Question for you all, we are staying at CBR and have ADR at Ohana's at the Poly! The reservation is for 7:35am. What time should we leave our resort and how is the best way to get there? This is our first time staying at a disney resort so we don't know much about transportation. Will be visiting MK after so I know we will just grab the monorail after breakfast.

Take a cab; have it arrive at CBR at 6:55 or 7. That will give you plenty of time to get to the Poly and admire the lobby and waiting area. It's gorgeous!

Take a Disney bus. Disney runs buses prior to park openings. Most of the time that early no one else is on the bus or very few people are (at least when we go in Sept). Why pay for a cab when you can ride for free? Disney usually tells you to leave your resort one hour prior to your reservations but we usually leave at the most 45 minutes prior and get there with time to spare. Besides, Disney is flexible with your arrival time for meals (they are not going to turn you away if you are 5-10 minutes late).

I would recommend taking a cab...relying on Disney buses for early morning ADRs can be hit or miss.

And if you are 5-10 minutes late, they may not turn you away, but you may find yourself waiting an additional 10-20 minutes depending on how busy they are.

Busses go to the parks, not to the resorts (someone correct me if I'm wrong here).
Your options are:
1. Take a bus to MK. Then, take resort monorail to Poly.
2. Take bus to MK. Then take a ferry to Poly.
3. Take bus to TTC. Then, take monorail to Poly. Or walk.
4. Take a cab.
Quickest and most direct is cab. If you really want Disney transportation, I'd take a bus to TTC then monorail to Poly. There are more steps with that strategy, but it probably would be the quickest.

This past February we had to at MK by 7:30am for the Kelly and Michael show. We were staying at the BC and we did catch at 7am bus. We got to the bus sop at 6:45am. We did get to MK before 7:20am but then you have to get to Poly in 15 min. It could be done if you don't mind waiting if you are late. I wish they offered better transportation for these early reservations.

Buses from the resorts to the parks start at about 6:30. Every day. That early, the interval is around 30 minutes, so being at the bus stop before that first bus should get the original poster to the Polynesian with plenty of time to spare. And if the Epcot bus comes before the MK bus? There's just one more option :).

We eat at Chef Mickey's for breakfast every year for the past four years (before any parks are open). All we do is tell the bus driver where are reservations are and we get dropped off at the Contemporary. I have found the Disney bus drivers very accommodating. Maybe the drivers feel sorry for my wife and I dragging three young kids out of bed so early!

I find that it is easier getting to an early ADR with the Disney buses. They are always out at the bus stops waiting, starting at 6:30am. I had a 7:30am ADR for Kona when I was there in September. The bus to MK was at the stop at POFQ. I was the only one on the bus and I told her where I was heading. She went straight to the Poly. I was expecting her to drop me off at MK so I could just take the monorail over. That was very sweet of the driver to do that. They don't always do it. If it is early though and you are the only ones, then the chances are high!

Unless something has changed in the last few weeks, AFAIK, there are NO buses that run between any Disney resort and the TTC. They only go to parks or DTD, so this would not be an option.
