I'm checking online for dinner reservations at DHS. One of the ADR times that came up was 8:05 but the park is scheduled to close at 8:00 that night (no EMH). Could that be right?? Has anyone ever had a res that starts at or after park closing?
Yes, especially if Fantasmic! is showing that night and starts at park closing time. That happened to me a couple of years ago - DHS started at 8, and my 50's Prime Time reservation was at 8:20. I called a couple of times to confirm the time and was assured it was valid, and arrived to find it actually was
Yes, Fantasmic is that night! It's not at closing time, rather 1-1/2 hrs before closing. We have the FDP which gives us a less-than-ideal time to eat lunch. So grabbing dinner after Fantasmic is the thought. But first we want to see Osborne lights. So plan is: later lunch, Fantasmic, Osborne, dinner at closing. Opinions welcome.
What about catching a bus after such a late dinner? Buses are said to run for 1 hour past park closing. We may be well past an hour after closing by the time we are done with dinner.
Great point! Does anyone know if the busses run for longer than an hour past closing when the park restaurants are taking "after park closing" ressies??
Walt Disney World won't leave anyone stranded at a park. If there are only twenty Guests going back to resorts, odds are one or a few buses will take Guests to several resorts - but you won't get stranded
