Well monday night i had sharp shooting pains in my left thigh and then they went away by tuesday morning, then tuesday night i started having some dull pain in my left side ribs and into my back, i woke up at 3 am in severe pain but then was able to sit in my recliner and be relativley pain free, then wednesday the pain just got proggressivly worse and later that evening around 8ish i was having trouble breathing, along with the severe pain, so i called an ambulance. I honestly thought it was a kidney infection or kidney stones.
the Er was full so they were going to put me in the waiting room until the nurse saw me, then she got me to pee in a cup and then rushed me to a room where they then had about 4 staff members in there and put an IV in did blood work, then IV fell out, so they put it in again, then it infiltrated, so then they had to get a specialist in there to put in a smaller one in my other arm, all the while I could barely breath, they got oxygen for me, put cool clothes on me as i was sweating profusley, and gave me some pain meds, once the pain meds kicked in it was much easier for me to breath
then they took me for a cat scan with no contrast, and thought they seen kidney stones. then the radiologist said no its not stones, its just calcium deposits, so then they did an xray and seen a fuzzy area in my lungs, so they thought it was pnemonia, and then the blood test to see if it was a clot came back elevated so they took me for a chest cat scan with contrast,. and then discovered i had a clot in each lung.
they said if i would have waited any longer to come in I wouldnt have made it. so they admitted me, and i immediatley started on Heprin IV, and then coumadin tonight, and once my INR number is at a level 2 then they can send me home. but i will be on the coumadin for 6 months, and will have to have my blood checked every week, and the clots will resolve on their own
