admission at zooamerica (hersheypark)

We'll be in Hershey tomorrow and I'm so glad I found this thread!! I had no idea about the event going on. We are just spending the day to gather more info for our sites. So, even if it is busy it shouldn't be too bad for us since we won't be riding anything. We haven't been to the zoo in awhile and use to just go in while at the park. It was free with park admission. Glad to see they still participate in the reciprical program.

To the OP, hope you have a great time! Oh and should you need more info before you go check out our fan sites:

We will hopefully get to hershey around 3pm. Hope to hit the zoo first (did finally get confirmation from zooamerica that they do participate in the reciprical zoo program with our local zoos, so it will be free!!), and then hit CW after that. Hopefully we will be out of the area by 6-7ish, or sooner if it's too crazy :scared1: Then we'll plan on going in the park on Sunday morning right at opening, hitting the "big ticket" rides first, with our printed map in hand :thumbsup2 . Too bad they don't have fastpass!!! Thanks again for all the suggestions - I'll let you know how it all turned out when we get back!!

Since you aren't going to the park tomorrow, you can enter the zoo from their off street entrance. They have parking right there(and I am pretty sure it is free). Then you can avoid themepark and football parking and traffic. Here is a link to their website for directions:

Have a great time!!

Can anyone let me know if they will allow drinks of any kind into the park? I know they do not allow food but would they allow 1 drink per person? Thanks -- we'll be there on 7/5 and 7/6.

Wanted to just say thanks to everyone for all the suggestions for our trip last weekend - we had a great time. Went to chocolate world when we first got in, parking was not bad at all! Then headed over to the zoo, where we were able to use our reciprocal zoo card :thumbsup2 Spent the next day at the park - it was a beautiful hot day. We made the great decision to not go near the boardwalk!! We just about walked onto every ride we wanted. At the boardwalk it appeared to be a different story - HUGE lines for everything!!! So it worked out great for us!! Thanks again! (And to the previous poster, I answered your drinks question on the other thread in more detail, but we were allowed in with no problem with 3 bottles of water and a sippy cup!).

I am so glad you had a good time!

We avoided the Boardwalk area too, even though we went on a day that wasnt that crowded, that part was packed! We went on the older water rides and did all the other things. We go back enough that we can try the Boardwalk after the hoopla is over!
