We live in Georgia and already bought our adult tickets from UTC. My dad and stepmom live in South Florida and will join us for a couple of days during our trip. They want to take the kids to the park 1 day and pay for the tickets. If my dad buys a 3-day Florida resident ticket for my son and is present on the first day the ticket is used, will my son be able to use the other 2 days in my dad's absence? (he'll be with DH and I and we're not FL residents). Or should he buy a 1-day FL resident ticket and a 2-day non-resident ticket?

TIA

As long as an adult with a FL ID is present to activate the ticket on day 1, it's fine to use the other days without them there.

I buy my cousin's kids FL tickets each time they come down, but I sure don't go to the parks every day with them!

Per the sticky note above I thought "Discussion of Circumventing Disney Rules is Not Allowed"?

This isn't against any rules... We don't care where minor children actually reside because they don't have to show ID.

Now if OP wanted to know how their FL relatives could buy cheap tickets for adults 18+ then that would be against rules...

Disney clearly states that the tickets are for FL residents only. Doesn't matter if they are adults or kids.
Simple question: Are the kids Florida residents? If answer is no it would be against the rules of the ticket.
The loophole being exploited is that Disney doesn't have ask for IDs for kids, obviously.

This is the same thing as buying a child ticket (ages 3-9) for a 10 year old.
Does Disney check ID on the 10 year old? No.
Is is against the rules of that ticket? Yes.

You do know that ravenclawtrekkie is a Disney CM and works in the ticket booths?

I got my answer and I'm not looking to create controversy --- I'll ask an admin to delete this thread

So, hypothetical (although, it happened to me)...

Parents send kid(s) to visit relatives in Florida for a week. Relatives buy tickets for themselves and said kid at FL Resident prices. Kid is NOT a FL resident, obviously, because she flew in from MN. How is that wrong? It's pretty much what is happening here. Out of state kid being given ticket by Florida family.

OP - you are fine. Have fun!!
