HELP! We've planned a Disney vacation in mid-Feb. My family will be staying at the ALL-STAR MOVIES resort. We would ideally like to have two adjoining rooms and we would like to be in a certain building. Is there anything I can do to help make these room selections possible?

Thanks!

When you request this be careful with your wording. I went through this with ASMo. There is a difference between adjoining rooms and connecting rooms. If you want the rooms to have a door between them, make sure you use the right word. We were pretty clear on the phone that we had 4 children and needed 2 rooms together but they marked us down as adjoining. When we got there the rooms were next to eachother (adjoining) but no door between them (connecting). They did fix it.

thanks Gupsmom......I was told something about faxing my room request also ....should I do this and how does it work?

If we put all the threads about adjoining Vs connecting rooms together, there would probably be a whole page of them. LOL ;) It's a subject that confuses lots of people (probably because of that "joining" part of the word.

Adjoining rooms are rooms that are next to each other. Adjoining rooms might even be right across the hall from each other. The only way to get from one room to the other is to go out in the hallway and enter the room from the hall.

Connecting rooms are next to each other and have a door that can be opened so that you can go from one room to the other without going out in the hallway.

Even when you make things crystal clear on the phone, if the CM doesn't put down the right thing, you won't get what you need. When you get your reservation confirmation, check to see that "connecting rooms" is on it. Your preferences are listed and filled (if possible) in the order that you give them. So make sure that what is most important to you is the first thing listed.
