Hi,

We are trying to figure out if we should get 1 family suite and 1 standard room or 3 standard rooms (2 adjoining) at the ASMU for 10 people. I'm leaning towards the family suite and regular room but I was wondering if all the suites are in a line or do they have standard rooms mixed in between them. We don't want to be too far from our kids in the 3rd room. Anybody know about this?

Sue

Some of the Family Suites have regular rooms mixed between them.
Just ask that your ressies be linked and you would like the standard room to be located next door to the Suite.

Have fun at Disney!

Thanks for the reply. I knew it would be quicker to ask here instead of calling Disney. I think we will do as you say and go for the family suite with the regular room next door. Thanks for helping me with my decision. Now I just need to o.k. it with my SIL and family. I'm pretty sure this is what they would want also since the 6 cousins want to spend as much time possible with each other. Hanging out at the resort and pool is as much fun for them as the parks. Ahhh, such memories from our last trip. Can't wait to make some new ones in April! Thanks again.

You'll enjoy the fridge and microwave etc of the family suite...plus you will have the two bathrooms..

I imagine there is some cost savings between 1 family suite rather than 2 normal rooms.

Remember, adjoining means next to one another, but not open between the two. Connected has a door between the two.

I'm glad I found your replies to this question. I just made reservations for ASMu suites today, and the others in our party are getting a regular room. We are going to be a Magical Gathering, and it would be nice if we could have connecting rooms. We stayed in a suite last year, and they were in a room on a different floor and end than us.

I am calling tomorrow to request this.

Actually, there is not. Two rooms generally cost less than 1 family suite.

During value season, a standard view room at All-Star Music is $82 per night, where a Family Suite is $184 per night.

A preferred view room is $94 per night and a Family Suite is still $184 per night.

So 2 standard view rooms are less, and two preferred view rooms are about the same.

There is also more availability for discounts for regular rooms then there are the family suites.

For example, during Value season, a AAA discount on 3 standard rooms could bring the cost of the 3 rooms to $196.80 per night which is not much more than 1 family suite.

(All prices listed before tax.)

A Family was actually made by convrting 2 standard rooms and is the same size as two standard rooms but a kitchenette has been added so ost families can save a little having a few meals in the room Vs. staying in 2 standard rooms.

For price comparison, the price of a Family Suite is $9-11 more then 2 Standard Rooms, or $13-15 less the 2 Preferred Rooms, depending on season.

The last 2 nights of our stay in December 2008 are going to be $315/night during Holiday Season, but we were able to get a AAA discount on the first 6 nights and it is costing us $150/night for those 6 nights.

We are paying about $211/night for 3 nights April 30-May 3 because it is during regular season.
