Anybody have it? What do you think? I am currently using dial-up. DSL is not available in my location.

I have adelphia.

Email Stinks...sometimes emails take 2days to be recieved...I've tested this....it's so bad I refuse to use it...I'll take yahoo! anyday!

Customer Service is horrible (if you can call what they provide "service" anyways).

They charge to much too...

Nor is it very reliable...It works...most of time....kinda.

It's certainly better than dialup though (speed).

If you have other options...use them.

My Adelphia service has slowly improved over the years. At the time I signed up, it was the only game in town (besides dialup).

I think that your quality of Adelphia as an ISP depends a great deal on where your live. Adelphia Powerlink grew out of the acquisition of several smaller ISPs. You might want to check out http://www.dslreports.com for some more opinions.

I have Adelphia. I like it a lot.

Adelphia is the only company in my area that offers cable internet. My only other choice is dial up.

Considering I started out online in 97 with webtv, then switched to dialup in 01, I'd have to say I like it a lot.

I haven't had any trouble with the mail at all. Everything gets into my inbox really quick. I've had Adelphia for 2 years now. We've lost service about 6 times in 2 years for at the most 3 hours at a time. That's a lot better than our crappy ISP.

If they had some cable competition I'm sure the price would lower. I pay $39.95 per month for Adelphia internet. It's worth it to me though. I'd never go back to dial up.

I've got Adelphia, as well, and it's been good. No delays with emails - every once in a while one email message will block others from coming in, but they told us how to fix that ourselves and it's been no problem. Doesn't happen often, anyway.

Very few outages of service, ususally fixed pretty quickly.

Much better than dial-up (which I have for my laptop when travelling)!

I've had Adelphia for several years and love it. I've not had any email problems at all. In our area they're running a speical for powerlink, 3 months at 19.95. Call them and see if they have any similar speicals in your area. Usually the specials are a pretty good deal. I used to work for them so if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'll help if I can. I'll admit that customer service seems to suck lately since they've moved to large call centers instead of local office, but plink is so easy you should never need to call them.

I like it fine. Not many problems. Service is helpful when I do need to call.

Not the best, but certainly not the worst. I agree w/previous posters, I think locale probably makes a difference. It's better than DSL and dialup IMHO.

The prices are outrageous for Adelphia (and all cable companies...but that's whole different post).
