Address change, how easy a month before cruise?

I have a situation that came up and needing to know what to do. I went through a TA to book the cruises we are planning next year. Well our check in time is Dec 12th for our first cruise ever and on DCL. Problem is, we just found out last week the place we rent is being sold and we decided to buy a place and wont close till end of December. I dont want to assume its a done deal as closings can go south at any time of the process so I dont want to mention to my TA or DCL my new address. We will be using passports along with our state issued DLs. My question is, is an address change easy to do in January when we cruise in February? Also, do I call DCL directly or does this need to be done with the TA?

Im assuming I will get the documents via mail (from reading here it sounds like I should expect something through mail before the cruise).
