We are looking to add on 50 points at AKL. When you do add on such as this do you get developer points or is that for firstime buyers that purchase the minimum points? Also is it it common to get 2008 and 2009 points if we were to buy now? We have contacted our guide but as of yet have not heard from him so I thought I would come to the experts.

i've never heard of add-ons getting dev points.

if you are still in your 2008 UY (such as december), then yes, you'd probably get 2008 pts if you add-on now so long as they are available.

If Disney is offering Developer Points as an incentive at that point level, then yes, you would be able to get them. When we originally added on at BLT, that was the incentive we were going to take (but then the incentives changed and they offered a straight cash discount that was much better).

At this point, the only months that are in their 2008 UY's are October and December. From what I understand, the 2008 points for those months are limited (if not gone) so it would really depend.

If you have a different UY, then you would be getting only 2009 points.

We just did an 85 point add-on today for WLV and there were 2008 points left, so our guide gave them to us to bank into 2009 (we have Dec UY).
