Additional days for Ultimate Park Hopper?

Is it possible to get the Ultimate Park Hopper for MORE days
then your Resort stay? Back when it was the "Length of Stay"
pass the name pretty much said "No". But I was just reading
about UPH in the TICKET PRICES section of this wdwinfo site,
and it says:

They must be purchased [...] for the full length of
your reservation. Additional days are available through
Guest Services or Central Reservations.

Has anyone purchased additional days or knows how to
do that? Must they be contiguous to resort stay?

I called Central Reservations - after alot of head scratching
they said it SHOULD be possible but THEY can't do it - talk
to the resort front desk. I called the Grosvenor Resort - they
said they don't handle UPH at all, call the resort Disney Store.
Called the Disney Store, and got "How many days are you
staying? That's all I can sell ya. For anything else, talk to
Central Reservations" - but she didn't sound all THAT
cluefull...

So, I'm being sent around in circles. If anyone has any
info on this, I'd greatly appreciate it. But please reply
soon - we're going next week! :)

I doubt that you could purchase more than the days that you are staying at the resort. If you want more days why not purchase an Annual pass. They have one that is premium annual pass and I think that includes pretty much everything the UMP includes. You could get a discount on your hotel too. I hope that helps.

Mike, I'm not sure I understand why you want tickets longer than your stay. I don't think this would work because the tickets expire the day you checkout (you cannot save days you didn't visit a park) and if you are moving to an offsite location, the UPH is only for onsite guests. Sorry I can't help more.

Yes, that's what I thought too, and probably that's
the way it is. But can anyone explain to me what
wdwinfo site means by:

"Tickets must be purchased for the full length of
your reservation. Additional days are available through

This almost implies you CAN extend UPH after moving
offsite, once you've been an onsite guest. I agree,
I would be surprised if Disney actually allows this,
but I can't figure out what else "Additional days available"
can mean.
Anybody know?

Yes, our total Orlando stay is going to be much longer
then our Disney Resort stay - watching the shuttle launch
from KSC, staying on site at Universal, Discovery Cove,
Bush Gardens, Wild Cats on Easy Street (yes, we'll
need a vacation from this vacation, but we'll love
every minute of it :) And it would be convenient to
pop back into Epcot/Waterparks/DisneyQuest after
we move offsite....

I would guess that for the "additional days available" they would use a park hopper. If your total days are 8 or more I'd go with an AP or PAP.
