Additional Charges??

I can't find the answer to this question anywhere, so I thought I would ask here.

I am wondering what additional charges, if any, I can expect in my shipboard account, other than the things I choose to purchase. I am wondering specifically about things like port fees, taxes, any other charges of that nature. We are a family of 5, and I am trying to budget what our onboard expenses will be.

Thanks,
Linda

The only charges you will incur on your shipboard account will be purchases you make while onboard.....all your port taxes and fees are paid at the time you purchase your tickets .... Andy

Unless you tip with cash, these also will be on your account. Excursions you purchase also end up there.

Many people put their tips on their stateroom account as well. Any excursions purchased through DCL or drinks or arcade cards etc. go there. But if you don't sign a charge slip for anything, you will have nothing on your account at the end of the week. You're welcome to go to guest services and pay your tips in some other form (cash, travellers checks, etc.)

Hope this helps.

Wow, I really appreciate the quick replies.... you guys are great! You confirmed what I was thinking, but I had read an old trip report the other day where the poster was discussing what his total onboard account was, and one of the things he listed was port charges, which confused me because I had not read anything about them anywhere else. I knew you guys would know!

Linda
