Adding to party

I have 2 dinner reservations for 5, 7/14 @ Morimoto and 7/15 @ Chef's de France... An additional person has decided to join us. Currently there are no reservations available for 6 thru MDE...I was advised by cast member to keep checking, if I don't find anything to contact restaurant the day of... Any advice would be appreciated.

You can try to book a party of 1 at or near the time of your ADRs. Then ask to be seated together when you arrive. You will need to book the party of 1 under a different account.

Going from 5 to 6 should, in theory, be easy(ier), since a party of 5 will be seated at a table that could fit 6. Now, there could be capacity/fire code restrictions that prevent that extra person from joining you.

Keep checking, yes, but you might be able to add an extra person while checking in on the app... or at the podium.

Update, I was able to get a reservation via OpenTable for Morimoto (where the was plenty of availability), cancelled my MDE reservation.

Will keep checking Chef's de France.

Have they stopped the ability to add one when you check in online now?
