adding to my BLT points to have enough for 2BR

I own DVC points at BLT, but only enough for a studio. If I want to book a 2-bedroom, could I rent points (or something else) to add to my points so I can book the bigger unit? If this is possible, would I be able to keep my 11-month home resort booking advantage?

You could, but they would have to transfer the points to your account. They must be BLT points to get the home resort priority. Transfers are a bit harder as you can only have 1 transfer in or out per UY. What I would do is rent the points for the 2 bedroom stay and then turn around and rent your points for a studio.

You could rent a reservation to add to a reservation that you make with your own points and get them linked. Or you could ask someone to transfer you points. They must be BLT points and you have to remember that you cannot borrow transferred points. So if you need them in Sept 2020, you can't get Dec 2020 points because you would have to borrow them into the Dec 2019 UY to use them. You have to call MS to make a reservation made with transferred points unless they match your resort AND your UY.

Consider borrowing future points to make up the difference and get in exactly at 11 months to snag a standard view.

Just to be clear, do you need to do this one time only, or will you need a 2BR every year?
