So I had everything planned out and all our ADRs made and then I find out that we're going to have one more adult along. How difficult is it to add one more person to existing reservations?

It really depends on which restaurants you are planning to eat at, when you are going, how many people you already have an ADR for, etc. If you are a big group and/or eating at the more popular places (e.g., character meals), then it might be difficult to get an ADR for a bigger group.

You should try to modify your ADRs because if you walk-up with an extra person, the restaurant might not be able to seat you.

Disney will try to seat an extra guest, but there are no guarantees. It just depends on how busy the restaurant is. Also it depends on if you are going to need a different table size. It is much easier to accomodate an extra guest if you are going from say 3 to 4 people. Much more difficult if you are going from 6 to 7, as you will need a larger table.

The best thing to do is to call and see if they can add your extra guest to the existing ADR. If they can't, keep trying. Showing up with an extra person needs to be your last resort. Because you simply won't know what will happen.

Thank you for you replies, folks. Turns out, it's as easy as picking up the phone. The CM on the other end couldn't have been nicer when I asked, considering it was a bit of a bother.
