Adding States

We're perfectly fine as we are. It isn't like we have a whole lot of places to pick from to add, either. We've got Guam and a tiny bit of the Virgin Isles, and that's it. And they're both already territories of the US, so they're almost like states.

I don't see how we could add more states than that without forcibly taking over some country or other.

Personally, I think that we need to give California, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada back to Mexico. The way we took it from them was just wrong.

I do not think that will ever happen. I think that they should split California into two states. North and South Cali.

IDC because we have many territories and they might want to join th US. They added states in the 50's so it doesnt matter to me.

The question isn't whether we need to go hunting for more states, but whether we should say yes were say, Puerto Rico to vote yes on statehood (I think they should). Imperialism itself is against the unwritten code of morals that goes with the constitution, and with that, I'd say no to like, taking over Mexico. But if a territory requests it, especially Puerto Rico, it's worth another look. Puerto Rico has sugar cane. Sugar cane can be made into ethanol. Ethanol can make clean fuel for cars.

Not to mention that I think it's wrong for the government to say, draft Puerto Rican citizens into war or raise their taxes without the Puerto Ricans being able to elect an ACTIVE representative or senator, or vote for president.
