Hey everybody, i have a complex question maybe someone here can help me with.

I have an upcoming trip this December with a "magic your way" plus the dining plan.
We really want our friend to come with us, she has a premier annual pass so we would just want her to stay in our room with us.
I know there is an easy way to add a guest to your room, with a fee upon checkin, but how would the dining plan work?
would she be required to buy the dining plan as well? even if she wasnt sharing our package?

Hope that makes sense, Thanks!!!

As long as you do not exceed the room occupancy limit, if you add her to your room when you check in she will not get the dining plan. If there are already two adults in the room there will be an additional per night fee for her.

Yep, the only way to keep her off your package is to add her at the time or after you have checked in (assuming you have enough capacity in your room to add her). She won't get any dining plan but she won't have to purchase tickets either. If she needs Magical Express, that can be arranged only after she has been added to the room reservation.

thats perfect! thanks you guys.

one more question, i cant seem to find a definite answer for some reason.
does the add on fee at check in vary by resort? some say its $10 dollars a night but ive read that its more
we're staying at the animal kingdom lodge and wilderness lodge fyi

The additional adult fee varies depending on whether you are at a Value ($10), Moderate or Deluxe resort. AKL and WL are deluxes so the fee is $25 per night, but if you are staying in a Villa at either of those resorts, there is no additional adult fee.

Is it possible to add someone to a room after checking in online, without going to the counter and speaking to a person face-to-face? Can we do it online or over the phone instead?

You can't do it on line. And I think trying to do it on the phone will end up in confusion. It is best to go to the front desk.
