Good Evening All,

This Sept my Mom, Dad, and myself will be heading down to WDW. We already have all our dinners booked for 3 guests. My mom's friend lives near Orlando an will be joining us at the parks for a day. Do you see any issues with me adding her to our reservation even closer to our trip? I would think that its not increasing our table size as we will be going from 3 to 4 and they don't really have 3 seater tables and we would just be put at a 4 person table.

Also, Is it cool if when we all get there the three of us use our DP credits for the meal and I tell them we will pay in cash or CC for the 4th meal?

i dont know about your first (and main) question but im pretty sure that paying out of pocket for your moms friends meal will be no problem. i imagine its the same as if you were to order something thats not included on the dining plan then just paying for it separately. that shouldnt be a big deal at all. hope that helped a bit. :)

In my experience it is not easy to add people to your reservation for dining. We tried this and were told that since no reservations were available at that time for our new party size there was nothing they could do.

make sure you get them on ASAP! it is not easy to add on one person. we had to add 1 to our party for Ohana for june 2nd, and made the attempt one month before the trip. when we called dining they said no. when we asked why they cant add 1 they said they are at capacity, so even with an available seat at your table, if they are at capacity, they will not let them in.

also, the dining plan is no problem. they always ask who is on the plan, and if someone is not, they put down their own bill.

You wouldn't be able to use your DDP credits to buy a meal for your guest, but they'll easily split the check between those on DDP and those not on DDP.
