Adding several people to a reservation?

We just found out good friends of ours will be arriving the same day as we are in November. Right now, I have a reservation for 4 for dinner at Ohana (6:40pm, if that makes a difference in your answer). What do you think are the chances of adding 3 more people to that reservation if the online system says there are no tables for 3 or for 7 that evening?

If you call Disney Dining they dont ADD those people to your existing reservation. They try to find you a whole new reservation for the new amount of people. If there happens to be a table for more people at that very same time date and place you are very lucky...esp for O'hana! Good luck!

Well, FWIW, I don't know if she just added them or found a whole new reservation (that wasn't showing online) but we have the same time for 7 people as we did for 4. Whee!

As indicated earlier, it was the latter. Afaik, there is no way to change the size of the table allocated to a dining reservation. (I do believe that there is a way to change which table allocation is associated with a specific reservation though, but again, in order to do that, the correct-sized table allocation must exist. It's hard to be sure of all the details though, seeing all of this happen upside down, standing on the wrong side of the terminal, though. )
