Adding resale contract to existing

I have a question…
Can I buy resale points, same UY same resort as my direct contract, and combine them to book at VR or Wilderness cabins or am I’m restricted to use only my direct points?
Is VR Vero Beach? If so, you can use both direct and resale to book there but the new Fort Wilderness Cabins are resale restricted so only you direct points can be used there :)

Thank you. That was a typo, I meant to say Riviera! Ironically, I sold Vero to buy resale at BWV and currently have direct points at BCV, just not enough for high priced Riviera! Maybe I’ll consider a few tower studio nights!🤷‍♀️

Points carry the restrictions, not an owner, Any and all resale points bought since Jan 2019 cannot be used at RIV, VDH, CFW and presumably all future new resorts.

I purchased direct through Disney before I got married so it was under my maiden name, when I got married and changed my name I changed it with Disney. I just checked the deed with the county and it’s under my maiden name. I’m purchasing a resale contract and I want it to be added to my existing membership but I’m not sure what name to put on the resale contract. Has anyone been in a similar situation?
I had a similar situation. I have 2 contracts on the same membership with the same UY (one direct, other one blue card resale) and just added on a resale contract with the same UY. The new resale contract got added to the same membership. But make sure you have the exact same name listed for the add on contract. I made sure the resale company was well aware of what I wanted done.

Also, I'm assuming you'd need to re title your deed to get the name changed on the deed? I did that when I had a name change, but I was also removing a member from the contract, so I had to go through that full process (and had to go to ROFR too).

I read you don’t have to update the deed so I’m going to leave as is for now. I told the resale broker as well as the title company and noted it on the form that I assume gets sent to Disney about my maiden names being on my current deeds. Fingers crossed they add it to the existing ones.

I don’t think you need to touch the deed for name change by marriage. I didn’t.

If you're just doing a name change, I'm sure you don't have to touch the deed. But my scenario was different with changing the actual members on the deed, so I did the name change on it at the same time.
