adding person to ressie

There is a chance that another person would be joining us on our upcoming trip on July 30. I have all the reservations for 6 people already. Would there be a problem bringing a 7th? Do I need to call and change the number of people on the reservation? Or just get to the podium and tell them there is an additional person.
I don't want to lose any of our confirmed reservations.

Once you know for sure, attempt to rebook reservations for 7 at similar times. (Note: you can't just "change" the reservation, even by calling). For any that you can't do this for, just show up and let them know, they're typically very accomidating.

Sorry but I think you should be better prepared for that person to be turned away at the podium.
If you can't rebook your ressies with the extra person (as you have to cancel your current one and rebook with the correct #...this is almost impossible at this point for your trip) and try to "squeeze" him/her in it will be difficult because of your party number.
Having a ressie for an odd number people is easier to add to because where 3 or 5 can sit the extra room is already there.
However going from an even number to an odd number there usually isn't room. Does that make sense?

I just wanted to prepare you so you can make arrangements for this person "just in case" this occurs. If you get there and there isn't a problem adding him/her then great. But in all honesty during this time of year and the odd number your chances are slim.

I agree with Nadjalu and would do everything possible to get reservations for 7. You will need a larger table (going from a 6 top to an 8) so keep checking online everyday. You can even try for a party of 8 or any combination of 2 tables that will add up to 7 that are available close together in time. People change plans all the time so you never know when something will be available, even at this late date. You can even try after you arrive at Disneyworld.

If you don't have a reservation for 7 and just show up at the restaurant, be prepared for a long wait or for the 7th person to be turned away. You didn't mention which restaurants you're planning to eat at, but the end of July is a busy time. You'll probably have better luck being seated if you're at a resort restaurant than in a park. Just have a Plan B ready in case you can't get reservations for 7.
