So, my mother decided she'd like to go to DW with us. I'd love for her to go. Our dates are 4/22-5/2. I've already made all of our ADR's. Is there any possible way to add one more person? It would be going from 4 people to 5 people. My options are
1) Wing it and go to our ADR's with 5 and be flexible and prepared to wait if they can accomadate us. And if they can't my mom can go do something else.
2) Call Disney, wait on hold for 2 hours, ask to switch all of our ADR's to 5 people.
3) Make all new ADR's

Why would you be waiting on hold for 2 hours, I haven't waited that long even when trying to book Food & Wine events.

If you don't want to call, the best thing to do is go online and try to find reservations for 5 at times you can live with. Then cancel the old ones. This is just as good as calling, because they can't just add a person either - they would have to cancel your old reservation for 4 and book a new one for 5.

If you decide to just show up, you should be fine unless the very rare occurrence of the restaurant being full to capacity for fire codes takes place. You may also end up having to wait a bit longer since you will need a different table size.

If you were going from 5 down to 4; or five up to 6, you wouldn't have as much trouble. You would be staying within your range of table needs. You will have an issue now, because you are going from a 4-top to a 6-top (in restaurant-talk).

This happened to me a few years ago. First time traveling with an infant and didn't think that we were going to have to count him, because he was just a baby. But they need room at the table for the high chair (thank goodness for the disboards). Counting him took us from 6 to 7.

I went online, and changed as many ressies as I could to 7 for about the same time. It will allow you to hold your other reservation, while you are searching if you can find a similar time. When you do, it will update your ressie to the new reservation and cancel the old one at the same time.

Out of 8 ressies, I was able to change 6; the other two, we either had a wait of one hour or more, or we could hold the baby in one of our laps. We just held him.

So I did end up calling today. I thought I'd be on hold for a long time because I've never called before and everyone always says they're on hold for so long with Disney.

But, luckily I got right through and have been able to change the majority of my ressies. The only one they couldn't change was at BOG, so my mom's gonna have to sit that one out! I'm not giving up BOG!!

Thanks for the advice!:thumbsup2
