Adding people to your ADR

Does anyone know if you are able to add additional people to ADR? Or do you need to just try and secure a whole new reservation?

If a restaurant can accomodate you they will try. The problem is with the popularity of the DDP and DxDDP, more people are eating TS meals than they used to. I go to WDW several times a year and every visit see people turned away from restaurants, either as walk ups or because they showed up with extra people. However, I've also seen some people accomodated.

If you are an odd number and need to go up one person (from say 5 people to six people) it shouldn't be a problem, because you would have been seated at a table for six anyway. If you are an even number going to an odd number (four people going to five people) then that may be a bigger problem, as you'd be requiring a bigger table. If you are wanting to add more than one person then you'd have an even bigger problem and may not be accomodated. Keep calling and checking online for the size you need. If you are calling, don't let the CM cancel your old reservation until you get a new one, because you probably wouldn't be able to get the old one back. Also call every day even after you get down there,

Would it be the same trying to add 1 extra person to a ressie for 2 people? My sister is going to be with us one evening that we have ADRs for Sci Fi and I've never eaten there and always wanted to. I'd really like to keep our ADRs for that night!
