Adding People to Crystal Palace Breakfast ADR?

So I have a res for 4 people for 8:15AM at the Crystal Palace and my sister has decided to come with us to MK that day. I've been calling everyday and checking online constantly to see if I can get a new res for 5 but so far no luck (we have a little over a month before our trip). I don't want to give up this one since early AM ressies are hard to get but I don't want her to be out of luck that AM either. Has anyone had luck adding someone to their res at the podium, specifically for an early am MK breakfast res. We would be going from 4 people to 5.

Keep trying to add to your reservation. If not check at the podium when you check in, but no guarantee.

Keep checking online multiple times a day to see if a cancellation comes through. The pre-opening times are very popular so persistence is the key. You will need a larger table since you'll be going from 4 to 5.

You can check for a party of 5 or 6. The Disney reservation system has a known glitch that makes it harder to book odd numbered groups because the system wants to fill every seat at the table. Thus a party of 5 is bypassed, but if you add a person and look for 6 you may get choices. When you arrive at the restaurant just tell the CMs at the podium there are just 5 of you. You will not be charged the no show penalty for the "missing" person as long as at least one person shows up for the reservation.

Because there aren't a lot of tables for 5/6 you can also try looking for a table for 2 at the same time as your reservation and once you're at CP ask if it is possible to be seated all together or at adjacent tables.

Thanks Kim! I check all day everyday, I think I might have a problem Great tip about the even number of people so I'll be sure to try that! I'm hoping someone might give one up closer to the date. I've called Disney too and the CM's have said anywhere from one month out (coming up on that) to about a week or a few days before since they implemented the credit card guarantee so I still hold out hope.

I was just coming to ask the same question, except mine is just due to stupidity on my part. Most of the trip there are only 6 of us but the last few days there are 7. I was doing my regular search, starting from our first MK day, and forgot to change it to 7 for our last MK day. Who knew a 8:25 CP would come up? Now 6 of us have a reservation

This is just my experience but several times family members have jumped on or trip at the last minute and I have always been able to tell them at the podium and I've never been turned away. I've done this at super busy times. I'm not saying it'll work I'm just giving my experience. I've done this at least 10 times and each time I was able to add 1-3 people. Good luck!

I wish everyone else luck with this too. I'm hoping the restaurants have more flexibility than the online reservation system. Every time I call a CM it seems like they just search the same system. I was really hoping they had some magical system that would accommodate me I wonder if the system has the ability to see if there are 5 tops reserved for 4 people? Seems like they just search for a new res of 5 every time instead of seeing if tables can be moved around. It seems like many people have been accommodated but I don't really want to be "that" person or have to tell my sis to sit outside while we eat breakfast and hope for takeout. I'm also extra concerned since we would need a larger table going from 4 to 5. I really need to stop being so crazy over this

I did find another table for two so I grabbed it. The problem was the earliest I have found was for 8:40 and my other res is for 8:15

I will of course keep looking obsessively for an earlier 2 or a party of 5.

Should I keep the party of 2 and see if they will seat us between times? Cancel the table for 2 and beg them to use my party of 4 res?

I'm really excited because after all this agonizing planning this is sure to feel like a vacation when I get there

I have 3 ADR's that I made for 4 people but now there's an extra person and I can't seen to find any for 5

My best suggestion is to keep trying. Also, I doesn't hurt to call to check. I know that although they can't add her to my CP res they could add her to my CRT dinner (although she doesn't want to join us for that one). Both times I called they could do it for CRT (ended up not adding her though); I don't know if they let me reserve a larger table for 4 when I made it originally or if the system even does that? Or maybe it just that it's $70pp There's definitely not another available table for five according to the system...

After looking all day everyday I found a pre RD CP res for 5! It's even for 8:10 instead of 8:15 I'm still in shock

My best advice is to keep looking and look as often as your schedule and sanity allows
