Adding Park Tickets to MDE

I have a split stay in January. One night at BCV and 7 nights at BLT. I just purchased an 8 day park hopper to use between BCV and BLT. Would adding it to MDE cause problems when switching hotels? Or should I just leave it be and keep my park tickets separate from my room key (typically I add the tix to my room key). My next question is regarding the magic bands, not sure if they will even be rolled out by then, but in order to get the bands do I need to add my tix to MDE?? Just trying to figure out what to do.

You shouldn't have to worry about the tickets messing with your split stay, because magic bands will be available to all resort guests Dec 1. You do not need to add the tickets to MDE to get a magic band but you DO need them to schedule Fast Pass + experiences.

Is this 100% going to happen? We are doing a split stay as well in December. We are staying at Sports on the 10th due to a late flight and then checking into WL on the 11th. My tickets just came in the mail from UT and I am not entirely sure if I should link them or not.

The last article I saw said all resorts will be live with MB and FP plus as of Dec 1

All resorts will have MB and FP+ as of 10/23. The 12/1 date is a speculated full roll out but Disney has not officially announced anything.
