Adding Park Days?

I'm going to be at DLR for the Expo in August, and I've built in a couple of park days to the trip. I was planning on prepurchasing the park tickets to take advantage of the online purchase discount they've got running right now.

Due to some somewhat nebulous plans, though, I won't be totally sure if I need 3 days or 4 until right before I get there. If I buy a 3-day pass, can I add on a day on-site, or does that not work at DLR the way it does at WDW?

You can always upgrade at the parks, but the problem is that if you buy online for a discount, at the park, you have to pay the difference between the lower price you paid online for the 3-day and the BOOTH price of the 4-day, which will end up being more than it would have cost you to just buy a discount 4-day online.

When will you be traveling? You can buy your tickets online all the way up to the day that you visit.

Thanks for reminding me about the price issue...that hadn't occurred to me.

Traveling out on 8/18. If I ordered them last minute, would I just pick up at Will Call, then?

You have the option of buying "E" tickets. This will allow you to print the tickets at home, and using them at Disneyland. No wait, and no shipping cost. When you get to the park's entrance (either park) the castmember will exchange your "E" ticket to a regular hopper ticket that you can use at the fastpass machines, etc.

Have a blast. :)

Yes, that's what I was referring to when I said you can buy it right up to the last minute. You just print the PDF file that they email you and take it directly to the turnstiles (NOT to the ticket booths) and they will exchange it for a smaller card ticket at Mary Jo described.

We bought 4 day hoppers online, and picked them up at will call. Well going to will call just made us WANT to go in the parks that night instead of the next day. So we added a 5th day at ticket booth. Only cost us $10 per ticket to add the day, which was very nice!
