I have decided to fly into Orlando the night before our original plan. We will be landing at about 11:30pm then heading over to the CR for one night in a standard room before our reserved four nights in a GS at the BWI. I chose the CR because we could use the first day as one of our days at the MK with no travel issues. We will spend the day at the MK, monorail over to the CR pick up our car and luggage then head over to the BWI.

Anyone ever do something like this?? Any input would be appreciated

We did the same thing around Memorial Day weekend, checked in for one night at the Contemporary so we could experience MK up close, and then moved to the Yacht Club for 3 nights. My story has an amazing twist though, because we were upgraded at the CR from a regular MK room to a 14th floor club level suite, closest to the Magic Kingdom. It was unbelievable. The suite was about 1400 square feet with three balconies, a computer, kitchen, living room, dining room, two bathrooms, bedroom, and sleeper sofa. We didn't even go to MK, just hung around the suite the whole day! The whole resort was just beautiful, and the concierge service was a real treat for all of us. We've made a habit of doing split stays, and I think this one really paid off!
