Last night I won a nice hunk of cash from a super bowl pool, and was thinking of treating my girlfriend to another nice dinner when we're in WDW next week. So far we have:

Arrive Thur 2/6 Dinner at Boatwright's in POR (our hom resort)
Fri - nothing planned for dinner yet. Probably something quick before Fantasmic
Sat - Dinner at Cali Grille
Sun - Breakfast at Kona
Nothing planned for dinner yet
Mon - Dinner at Boma
Tue - Dinner at Le Cellier
Wed - nothing planned for our last day

I was looking at Deb's site at some menu's and so far Yactsman, and Artist Pointe look pretty good. The tank at Coral Reel is a nice draw, and I've heard some good things about Jiko.
I know it mightl be tougher getting PS's a week and a half out, but I only got the money last night. I'm looking at maybe moving the Boma dinner to Jiko if we decide to got there, otherwise we're just looking to add it into one of our open spots.
Where would you guys suggest going? Feel free to add a place that isn't on the list.
Thanks.

~Chris

I recomend Artist Point. We have had dinner there twice and have a PS there for our upcomming tip:cool: . The food was excellent, and the WL is wonderful. If you do go to Artist Point, save room for desert. The berry cobbler is the best.:Pinkbounc

I'm a fan of both Artist's Point and Jiko. You won't go wrong at either.

Artist's Point has excellent salmon (their signature dish!) and I'm a fan of the sausage appetizer, too.

Jiko has UNBELIEVABLE beef tenderloin with mac & cheese, and some delicious flatbreads.

Of the two, if I had to pick, I'd go Jiko :bounce: It's a little more exotic, and has tastes and spices I've never encountered anywhere else. It's also, I think, a tad more romantic.

Bon appetite!

Jiko's!

My wife had a dish with grains, beans, tofu. I was lucky enough to get a few bites. It was one of the most interestingly flavored, best tasting, most wonderful dishes I've ever tried. I've dreamed about returning to Jiko's (not to Disney, just to Jiko's) just to get another bite.

The restaurant was beautiful and spacious and comfortable.

The service was not just excellent. The waitress was also warm, helpful, and appropriately friendly, with an obvious appreciation of and love for the restaurant and its food.

The dishes I ordered, the appetizers, the desserts, the bread, the salads, the coffee - everything was perfect.

Jiko's is a great restaurant!

I'd definately try to work in Jiko's!!!

If you find yourself in the Boardwalk area, try the Flying Fish. If you gravitate to Downtown Disney, the Portobello yacht Club is a fine dinner spot.
We also like Narcoosee at the Grand Floridian.

You may want to consider the California Grill on top of the Contemporary Hotel.
It is expensive but a very nice setting with great food and a wonderful view of the Magic Kingdom.
I have read that it is really something to watch the fireworks from up there.
It's also worth noting that the California Grill is always ranked one of the top restaurants in the country.

Flying Fish would get my VOTE! Fantastic food and the Boardwalk is wonderful for an after dinner strool. Also you can walk over to the bridge and view Illuminations. Joan

If I won the money, I would upgrade to a deluxe resort! AKL is not too high right now, I promise you will enjoy it. Going in less than 2 weeks for my 4th stay at AKL! :smooth:

All the restaurants suggested are great, my vote goes to Flying Fish on the Boardwalk or Jiko at AKL, Boma if you like buffet.

I showed m girlfriend the menus again for a bunch of places, and she wanted to go to Citricos. Then I showed her the pictures of the place on Deb's Site ( http://www.Wdwig.com ) then she really wanted to go.
Thanks for the help.

Another vote for Jiko! One of the best restaurants I've been to....also enjoyed the South African wines!

Oh yea, I forgot about Citricos! If you go there try the "wine parings". For a very fair price, they perfectly match a glass of wine with each course, I remember being amazed at how deliciously the wine & food complimented each other! Needless to say, we giggled & wobbled our way onto the monorail (rode with the driver of course & asked to drive, wasn't happening) and stumbled back to the Poly! What a memorable evening, it's all coming back to me now! ;)

Also, if you go to Jiko & you like red wine, try the South African "Pinotage", fantastic! Wow, I vaguely remember swinging on the swing set in the playground at the AKL after the dinner at Jiko with the Pinotage...

That's what I call grown up fun at WDW!
