adding one more to crt adrs

I am reposting this because It has been so long since I asked the question.

I have ADR for CRT...for DD4 and Myself a friend who is meeting me (coming just to see me and DD)and would like to go.. If I can't get a table for 3 I will cancel...so far no luck. What more can I do to try and get my friend in. I would have to cancel the night before my ADR to get my $$ back. What to do what to do ???

I would say have your friend just wait while you dine and you and DD keep the ressie.
It wouldn't be that long, maybe an hour or a bit more. Then meet up after the ressie. Nothing else you can do.

If this would work for you, then try to see if they can sit her with you guys and if so GREAT, if not no harm. They may be able to seat a party of 3 instead of 2.

Last year, my niece joined our trip at the last minute. We had an ADR at CRT that did not include her. I tried and tried to find an ADR to include her. When we showed up for our meal, I explained the situation, and they sat her at our table with no problem. At the end of the meal, we received the bill to pay for her additional meal.

My worry is they won't be able to and I wont go with out and loose my money allready paid. It is the friday before Mothers day and crt is booked solid... I really don't see the problem of adding one ...they should be able to accomodate without any problems.. But, I don't want to be one of those people.
Not to mention if I lead my DD to even just think we are having breakfast there and then tell her NO we can't...ugh .

Since it's a Breakfast, can't your friend meet you after? Is the time of your reservations the only time you can meet? I don't know details about your situation, but it sounds to me that the CRT is something that your DD really wants to do. I wouldn't cancel it, it will only take an hour. You can meet your friend for Ice cream or Lunch later. If you cancel it, where will you meet your friend?

I really don't think you should have any problems but you never know. Last year I was so stressed about it, we were all very excited to eat in the castle. After we went and it was no big deal, I thought what was I so stressed about. Will you be at MK any days before the ADR that you could speak to them about your situation? It is highly unlikely that you are going to be able to get a new reservation. So your choices are to cancel, or show up as a party of three and hope they can accomodate you. If it were me, I'd do the latter. I'd say the odds are 70-30 that they can fit an extra person in. Keep in mind that everyone in the chain of the reservation system (except for one) is a "by the book" person staring at a computer screen that is telling them "no can do". But the one person who is not is the human who greets you at the counter and they are the only person who matters. 100% of the time, that person will say: "Let me see what I can do." And most of the time, they are able to work something out. No guarantees, and it may be impossible for them to do anything. But they will always try. As reported above, pixie dust can work in your favor.

I remember seeing a thread about calling CRT directly to see if they can add one to a reservation.

There is no guarantee the third person will get in, though, and it sounds as though you are not willing to take your child and let the friend go elsewhere, so you would probably have to factor in the disappointment to the child if your third person is turned away at the podium. If that is what will happen you could be better off just cancelling if you don't get a new reservation. Remember there is a cancellation policy because this is a pre-paid reservation and I do not know what the effect would be of your just walking away from it at arrival - you may incur a no-show fee if you are on DDP or not get your payment back. Will not cancel !! I will let my BFF go with DD.. I will wait outside.
