Adding on to your reservation

Just a question to all you knowledgable disers out there. I already have our dining reservations made for our christmas with the mouse
Here's the issue...my parents decided they want to book a trip now too...can I add 2 more people on to our dining reservations making us a party of five instead of a party of 3???

No. You have to cancel and rebook. I suggest rebooking before you cancel just in case you have someplace really important that you can't get into now (your parents would have to dine elsewhere).

Start looking now for reservations for 5 - you may have to take different times. I would say you've got a problem because it's Christmas. If the restaurants are full to capacity you just can't show up with extra people - they won't be allowed in. So in order to assure that you get everyone in, you need to start trying to find reservations for 5. If you can't find 5, then book a separate reservation for 2 around the same time as yours, and ask if you can be seated near each other or together.

From my (admittedly limited) experience

If you feel like calling, they can see if they can modify the reservation so you keep the same confirmation #.

I did this when I needed to add one person. They modified 2 of my reservations from a party of 2 to a party of 3 and my confirmation number stayed the same and now when I pull up the reservations it just says 3 people instead of 2.

You can book a new reservation and cancel the old ones on the website. I did this with 2 other ones. Then you get a new number.

I like the idea of getting an additional reservation for the 2 adults for around the same time.

At the time you are going it will be pretty slim to add them or even change your ressie.
You may want to look into just getting adrs for the 2 of them and meet back after the meal.

I would just search on line. I don't know your exact dates but there is still a lof of availability for the first and second weeks.
