I have park hoppers for my family of six. 4 of the family would like to visit Disney Quest. I did not add it on when I booked as it was $300 extra and myself and the toddler would not be going. I would like to know as our trip is in 10 days when I get to check in can I

Add the Disney Quest water park option on to just 4 of the park hoppers in my package?

If not I'm prepared to just pay a one day admission for the 4 at the DQ door but was thinking that it might be better to give them multiple day use if it can be added to select family members and is not too expensive.

So can this be done at check in? anyone know?

I was under the impression that everyone in the room has to have the same package.

YOu can upgrade any ticket, but the tickets had to be the same when the package was booked.

If you don't plan on using the plus option for anything except one trip to DQ for 4 people, I would not add on the plus option($55 each). It only costs $30 each to get into DQ. If you will use a water park option or DQ twice, it would be worth it. Of course, if your hoppers are non-expiring, you could use any of the remaining pluses on a different trip

You must order the package tickets to be the same for everybody but after the tickets are printed and handed to you you can add more features to them individually.

How old are the people you're going with, are any of them into arcade games?

We (4 adults) went last year, 2 of us were quite into the technological stuff but we were still bored after about an hour! Fortunately we had them included on our tickets so it wasn't any great loss, but I'm not sure that it would be worth 2 trips for anyone (unless you have games nuts in your family!) and so personally I wouldn't upgrade, I'd pay on the day (and force myself to stay to get my money's worth!!)

I would like to add this option also. We are staying on property. Where would be the best place to add this?

Lisa

Just a word of warning...I was told that in order to add the options, I would have to pay the new ticket price increase on my entire ticket. Instead of paying $35 to hop, I would have to pay the new ticket price increase plus the $35. With 10 day tickets, you would be paying a lot to get into DQ!

If anyone has a different experience now that Aug. 6th has come and gone, please post.

I keep reading here, TGM, etc that this option costs about $55. Yet, when I look at tickets on the WDW site, if I click the option along with hopper, it only adds about $42 to the price of the ticket. Am I looking at the wrong thing? We are interested in doing this as well, but not sure if it is worth it to add to all tickets. :confused3

:confused3 I'm getting a little confused. I already have 9 day PH. All I want to add is the water parks and more option. Are they just going to charge me for the water parks and more option or will I have to pay the price increase on the 9 day PH in addtion to the water park and more option?

Lisa

I don't believe the CM who said you would have to pay the price increase for the WHOLE ticket was correct. Now, maybe they meant you'd have to pay the new add-on price(I'm sure the price for adding the hopper option went up) I think I read it went up from $35 to $42 to add hoppers to your ticket.

Marsha

I sure hope so. Does anyone know if the water park and more option also went up?

Lisa

When I check on Disney's website, it looks like a $42 difference between 10 day hoppers and 10 day hoppers with water parks and more. If you're gonna use more than one plus, it is definitely worth it. I bought that INSTEAD of hoppers, and we just planned our days around one park a day.

It's very possible she was incorrect. I did clarify this with her as it didn't sound right to me; or at least I didn't want it to sound right! I have never upgraded my tickets before, so I have nothing to go by. I do know that if you buy discounted tickets and upgrade you only get the price you paid for the ticket (not what Disney charges).

I think I will call and ask again.

Adding an option does NOT constitute an upgrade. If you add an option, you'll only pay the cost of adding the option - in this case $50 plus tax.

It's along the same lines of adding an option to a ticket from a discount broker. You won't have to pay the difference between your discounted ticket and the gate price - you'll only pay for the option you want to add.
