Adding on at Boulder Ridge vs. Copper Creek

Some of you may have seen my other thread where I mentioned we just figured out that VWL is definitely our spot. Right now we have 75 points at Boulder Ridge and would like to potentially add another 25-50 points but not certain what the smart play would be. Boulder Ridge is obviously cheaper but also doesn't have as long of a contract. Conversely, we're not in a huge hurry so paying a premium for 'retail' Copper Creek doesn't make a lot of sense either.

So what would you do? Buy another small Boulder Ridge contract now? Or wait for Copper Creek resale to hit in the next year or two and go that route? We do like staying in the boardwalk area for f&w so another option could be to pay a bit of a premium for a resale BWV to at least have booking advantage at a 2nd resort.

I think it depends how you intend to use the extra points. Do you want to add the extra 25-50 points so you can book a longer trip or split stay? Or would the additional CCV or BWV points be for a separate trip?

I like to do split stays between BWV and WL, so having home resort advantage at both is nice

We began our DVC purchases at BRV AND BWV. We alternated Christmas time visits between them. We added on at VGF, but only enough points to stay there every third December, so those are our 3 holiday favorites. VGF just costs too many points for us to stay at other times.
