We already we're planning on purchasing 5 day park tickets. But I was thinking about maybe depending on how we feel going to a park for a short day the day we land. Am I able to add on another park ticket once i'm there, and will I be paying full price? Or am I better off just purchasing 6 days and if we don't go oh well? It's only $21 to add on another day so i'm thinking if I can't do it once i'm there, i'm not gonna be overly mad if we end up not heading to the park for some reason.

1- Am I able to add on another park ticket once i'm there, and

2- will I be paying full price? Or

3- am I better off just purchasing 6 days and if we don't go oh well?

1- Yes.

2- It will cost you $10.65 per ticket, if you are buying regular Magic Your Way tickets.

3- Nope.

4- I assume, then, that you have TWO tickets.

When you arrive (with the current 5-day tickets) just decide then if you want to go into a park.
If so, then go ahead and do that.

THEN (after you have gone into a park at least one time,) you can decide to add a day to your tickets
for $10.65 each (including tax.)

You can add it there at the additional day rate - not the full rate. We did that one year when we weren't sure we were going to go all days. No problem.

Yes there is two of us, so two tickets :) My FI said just to go ahead and add it on cause he wouldn't mind going. But Id feel better just waiting if I can get it for the same price just incase I don't feel like doing anything after traveling :)

Here's a related question: if you don't add the extra day until you get there, are you not going to be able to book your fast passes for that day in advance? That could factor into the decision...

That is the only benefit to buying the 6th day in advance. I don't believe you can add a day to a ticket other than at Guest Services.

Just move up the "first" day of the trip for FP+ reservations.

Then, you'd have 5-6 days in advance of the "new last day" to make FP+ choices.
