Adding (newly purchased) tickets to MagicBands

I feel like I must be missing something. We have MagicBands for our upcoming trip. We don't have park tickets yet. I'm trying to buy park tickets online and want to add them to the MagicBands, because ultimately I want to get fastpasses now. When I go to buy park tickets, the delivery options are either by mail, or will call. Will I be able to link them to the MagicBands at this time as well? I don't see an option of how to do that and don't want to go through the whole purchase if I can't do the fast passes at this time.

Use "Will Call."

If you buy that way, you can instantly add the confirmation number of the tickets
to your MDE account for immediate FP+ booking (or as soon as your FP+ date arrives.)

If you purchase those tickets through your MDE account, the tickets should
show up automatically in your account without further effort.
