Adding my daughters friend to our trip...

Hi! I have already booked our trip for March 2019. My daughter wants to see if her friend can come with us. I'm in the process of getting our dining reservations made so I am waiting incase she is able to go. My question is, if her parents say yes now, and closer to time for some reason change their mind, how hard will it be to remove her from everything and what kind of penalties will there be?

i would make the dining ressies including her as if rest of you show up no charge for being one less and it can be a lot harder to add one to the Ressie. not sure how the removing from resort Ressie works but have done dining

If your resort reservation is room only then there is no penalty to remove her. I am not up to date on the package requirements but I know there are cancelation and change penalties at some point so I would read up on those if your booking/booked a package.

As for dining reservations go ahead and add her, its much easier to remove one guest (and there are no penalties) then it will be to add a guest.

As PP's have said, make your dining reservations now and include the friend. You will not be penalized for showing up with one less person if it turns out she can't go.

Did you book a resort package (room plus ticket and/or dining)? If so, you can make any changes, without penalty, up to 30 days prior to check-in. If you make a change within 30 days prior to check-in, there is a $50 change fee. If you've booked room-only, there is no penalty to make a change to that reservation.
