Hi -
DVC owner @ SSR grateful to have a studio at AKL for 4 nights and 1 BR at WLV starting 8/17! It's me, DS (17) and DD(13). We are all set, tix, DDP dining ressies, ME all done.:cool1:

So finally my friend has gotten back to me about having her child join us (DD's BFF) and it turns out the 10 y/o BFF will only be able to be with us at WLV on the last two nights of our stay - let me NOT got into details about past invites, timing, $,etc. She will be delivered to me by her uncle. Her mom or uncle can/will pay for a park ticket for her for the last Monday of our stay before checkout on Tuesday. Not sure if uncle was planning on a multi-day or what - he's a Fla. resident and is bringing his daughters for a day or two...but nothing to do with me - except ticket-wise.

OK - so here's where I need help. I will pay for the DDP for this kid and want her to fly back with us - her mom has made the airline ressie - that was part of the whole point so the kid not fly back alone.

How do I get her on DDP and ME? Can I do this? What about the ticket? While I know room occupancy is no problem and I can add her on that reservation - what the heck do I do about one day of DDP and getting her on ME??? Should I forget DDP for her and just pay OOP?

I consider myself such a vet on much of this stuff but this situation throws me a curve!! :scared1: Can you help me out???? TIA!!!

Unless she's on the ressie, you can not add Magical Express for her. As far as the DDP, it must be for the entire length of stay. I can think of two options for you:
1) Add her for the entire reservation. However, you will have to pay for the DDP for the entire time, even when she's not there. The other members of your party can use her credits for the days she's not there. Since the BFF is considered an adult and everyone in your party is too, it shouldn't be a problem with other members of your party using her credits.
2) Do a split ressie for your last hotel. Check out and back in on the day she arrives and add her to the last part of the ressie. That way, you are not forced to buy the DDP for the entire stay and you can add ME for her. You may have to change rooms, but I have read where they will try to keep you in the same room.

Thanks for your quick reply, carmie -

The stay at WLV is only a total of 4 nights - with 2 teens, I'm sure we can use the extra credits, and I'm paying an extra $80 for BFF (total $160! - YIKES!).

Splitting up the 4-night stay's another option, but once I cancel I might lose the reservation entirely - and WLV was not easy to get in the 1st place!

I could also forego the DDP for all 4 nights for ALL of us, carrying over that last day of our first 4 nights at AKL - paying OOP - but I did that last summer in our 2 week stay on DDP, off, on again - and I spent more and the kids were miserable!!

Guess I've got an answer - not the one I wanted - but an answer nonetheless...LOL

TY

I think the simple answer is to add her for all four nights. That will give you two extra TS credits. Use those for a show or Signature meal or with teenagers add that 2TS pizza meal for them one night while head out for a Signature meal.

Like you said with teens devouring CS and snack credits shouldn't be a problem.

moving this to the DVC board - they have more experience with adding peole for days within the trip and not the entire trip :)

Since we already have a duplicate of this thread on DVC Planning, I am closing this one. Thanks all..
